Knights Valley

Knights Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

Tasting Notes

Grown in the volcanic soils of our estate-owned vineyards, this Cabernet Sauvignon embodies the rustic spirit of rural Sonoma County. Our vineyards climb the southwest-facing slopes of 4,300 ft. Mount St. Helena, and are surrounded by a wilderness of cold mountain streams and forests of native fir and oak. The message of our soil is conveyed in every bottle.

Vigneron Notes

A very dark violet core shows the concentration and power imbued by the 2022 vintage. Aromas of sweet blackberry, ripe black currant, and freshly ground espresso are framed by bittersweet cocoa nib and very subtle baking spices. These richly dry flavors saturate the palate and are offset by pronounced minerality from the complex volcanic soils of Knights Valley. Brisk tannins and elevated acidity balance the sweetness of the fruit, driving to a very long finish.
