Helena Dakota

Helena Dakota Cabernet Sauvignon

Helena Dakota is characteristically fragrant, opulent, and complex, bursting with aromatics of concentrated blueberry, black currant, and Crème de Violette, with subtle bay laurel and freshly ground espresso. The palate is luxurious and rich, perfectly balancing this wine’s firm structure, and driving to a long finish of dark baking chocolate and luscious dark fruit. Defined by power, and structure, with a velvety texture, It is an expressive Cabernet Sauvignon that will age gracefully for many decades.

Helena Dakota Vineyard

This 12-acre vineyard is located on the western flanks of Mount Saint Helena, facing southwest at an elevation of 750ft. The nutrient-rich soils in this site, composed of reddish-brown clay loam with weathered volcanic rock, contribute energy to the vines, supporting vigorous canopy growth and ample ripeness of fruit. The vineyard is faced on the southeast by a small pond, over which prevailing breezes pass, moderating the Knights Valley warmth. The resulting wines show generous concentration, and balance, with a robust structure. A cool mountain stream and a rocky ridge separate this vineyard from our Helena Montana vineyard.
